80's babies

I posted an interesting email below. Well its been around for sometime, but its always good to read it again sometime, it realli reminds us of our old days and the generation gap between us and the youth today. Things that used to excite us, have now been taken granted by our younger generation. The same goes to our parents, stuff tat used to excite them, has now become a norm to us.

This is perhaps why the older generation like to boost how tough they were in the past, how life can be so difficult, and how they manage to overcome it, and scold us becoz we take things for granted all the time. Our response are usually annoyed and feel they are too naggy. Its especially true now due to the fast changing technology. Social values and technology just change at such a pace that many ppl couldnt catch up with. Soon we will reach our parents age and soon we will have our own kids, this cycle is bound to happen again, and its our kids turn to remind us how naggy we are.

Its very hard to prevent this, so as a parent, one should be understanding towards their own parents, understand why they nagged so much, and try to tell them u appreciate their advise and admire their ability to overcome the difficulties.

One should also be more understanding towards the kids, coz they simply lack of experience, try to understand their needs, what is happening ard them, treat them as buddies and ask them bout their frenz, advise them but not the naggy way, listen to them and dun always make negative remarks or scorned at their innocent way. Always remember u have been stupid and innocent as well, and u dun like it when ppl laugh at u. Last but not leasts, no one ever say its easy to be parents, just go and ask ur parents and u will noe.

P/S: watch the moive "I not stupid too", it realistically reflect how selfish and how insensitive we are becoming.

Valentine's day over...

Valentine's day is finally over! YESSSSS! This is the most dreadful day for mankind. 2 reasons behind this. 1st to guys without gf, they gonna spent another lonely day all by themselves. 2nd, to guys with gf, they either have to spend large sums of money buying expensive presents or they have to prepare romantic events, else his gf will definitely say "u dun love me anymore, u used to be able to do this and tat! " Well that's life in spore.

How I envy Jap culture; usu it's the gal giving chocolates to guys and they actually do it like 14 times a year? (According to reliable sources, David)
For my case, I prefer the romantic option; hand-make present (yes, I'm a bloody poor student) gonna bake heart-shape egg tarts to this lovely gal I just know!

With heaps of experiences in baking egg tarts (total experience level: twice with chao da crust) I noe I will be able to succeed and win that gal's heart with my 爱心蛋塔. In the next post, secret recipe revealed, so watch out for it. To be continue...

Chinese Martial Art 武术

Recent movie "Fearless" 霍元甲, has rekindled alot of wushu frenz passion again. To me, Wushu has played an important part in my younger dayz as well. When everyone is having fun, going clubbing, pubbing, dating and studying, I am training vigorously hoping it would change my life. I was a boy without purpose, without discipline, without a care in the world. I have nothing to be proud of, just another ordinary guy who wished something good will happen to me without me working hard to achieve it myself.

Things started to change after I started practicing wushu. It proved to me that the only obstacles between you and your goal is the amount of effort you put in and the amount of sacrifice you are willing to make.

Now even though I have stopped practicing wushu, I will still apply it to my daily life and challenge myself. To end, I shall use the most famous and overly use phrase “Thou greatest enemy is thyself”.

Gone with the wind...

Its been 9 months since my awful break up with my last gf, suddenly the whole world seems so dark, there's no more motivation for me to achieve anything in life, breathing became harder, waking became a chores, work seems meaningless, life's like a waste of time. I would never have imagine that things would turn out this way for me, I always advised my frenz to take it easy when relationship didn't work out, but wouldn't handle it myself, guess I am scared of being alone, scared of the feeling of no one to confide with, no one to praise me, no one to appreciate my work. I never knew I will become so dependent on my gfs.

Anyway the darkest moment is over now, it reshaped my perception of life, and I finally understand there are more impt things in life then relationship, then myself. I though i understood it but I didn't, till now.

Thks frenz, u noe who u r.
