A very touching song... not sang by any famous singer, but I guess it has been made famous thru youtube or tudou.
There are a few versions, solo and duet... no idea whether any of story is true, but they all revolve around someone who is dying of illness at very young age.

In this MV, Jae was a teacher who is dignose with some kind of terminal illness... wanted to quickly impart his skill to this gal who was bully by other students jealous of her talent. But Jae was running out of time....
Personally I think this version is badly sang and the guy and gal can't even pronounce properly... making it hard to believe tat Jae was the guy who wrote this song with such wonderful lyrics... The depth of this song seems to be from someone more refined and not so beng....
Version two The singer was Loyvnn Kan. Her voice is full of emotions... she brought out the "feel" and "visual" impact of this song...
Story of this version Quoted from youtube comments "its the story of the girl and her bf. they were very close and their parents are kind of like approve them, they are going to get married aft uni. but during the 3rd year of high sch, going through a medical check up, the docs found out that the girl's blood protein is abnormal. through a detailed check up, they found out that the girl had some skin disease, she had less than a year to live.
so she start writhing a journal to record her life, that when she found out that most of the things were done with her bf, he became irreplaceable to her. so she decided to write him a song. she got a friend to help do the recording. she wrote the lyrics, compose the tunes and sang it herself even though she's feeling very weak.
Aft the song had been completed, she asked for euthanasia. b4 she died, she told her bf:'i cant see the sunrise anymore, but i'm not afraid cos i had you'. the bf travelled to all places where he can see sunrise for his gf,took pics of it.
earlier this yr(2008), while he was on one mountain top admirinf the sunrise, he lost his footing and fell of the mountain. by the time his body had been found it was alrdy badly decomposed, but his camera is still intact and in it was the last sunrise he took. "
Version 3 They say the gal's name is 思 since in the lyrics, the singer pronounce 思走了,and not 先走了
If I am given a choice to choose which version is the real one, I would definately prefer version 2... as the story matches the lyrics and make more sense... also the singer is so much better than the previous version. But of coz, there's only one truth, no matter what I choose... lol
However everyone is claiming they know the person who wrote the song... be it the first version or second version... some say they even have newspaper article that supported their version of the story... though so far no one has produced any link or evidences online... Some say the gal is from JB, some say from SG, some say from China... depending on where u view the video from... from youtube or tudou.. lol...
I guess some people just felt that by claiming being friends of the singer in real life, their status will somehow be elevated to a god like position
Out of curiosity,I have search the web for lovynn kan and found... mainly just the mp3 songs uploaded for ppl to listen at their leisure... 2 social networking site with this name(Have send mails to them for verifications)
Wonder why r they so many version, guess when no one claim credits, ppl will make use of this opportunity and make up story to claim it as its own.... and when enough ppl buy their story, it will become the truth. Or maybe the oringinal author just make up story to gain popularity, just like any other marketing gimmicks...Perhaps the beauty of this song is enhance by its mysterious origin and tat is wat the author has in mind. I will never noe, so what I can do now is just to sit back, relax and enjoyed the music...

Hmm. Attending another löng winded meeting, let me see how much i can write within tis period. Its kinda of hard to key in using my hp, one letter at a time,realli miss my keyboard now, but at least i can type it under the table without anyone noticing, except perhaps tat guy with the super shiny reflective surface leather shoes. I bet he can monitor everyone's movement just by constantly peeping at his super shiny shoes. I tend to pause my typing whenever he look down. You can't be too careful.
Oooo yeah,after 3hrs of mind game with the chairperson and tat overly shiny shoes guy, the meeting is almost over, can finally put down my pen, ops i mean hp.

Just finished watching Slumdog Millionaire and I really like it. Actions, thrilling, romantic and motivating all in one. The setting are based in Indian showing the livelihood of the ppl staying in the slum. It started with the male lead,Jamal being tortured and interrogated as he was accused of cheating in the "Who wants to be a millionaire" Game show. As the interrogation went on , the mystery unravel as how he can answers all the qns. The scene move back in time, flashback of his memories starts... and reasons of why he wanted to play on the show are told.
He is trying to get back his childhood friend,Latika the female lead whom he lost contact thrice. Three time their separations had been really nasty, hence explaining Jamal's desperate attempt to find Latika. All the three separations was caused by Jamal own brother Salim who sort of betrayed him throughout the show, but at the same time showing care for Jamal... a real contradicting plot, and tats why I love it :)
The three of them knew each other in the poorest slum in Indian and got together because of a religious riot which kill their parents.
Basically, Jamal was portrayed as a person who never give up throughout the show... will try all means and ways to achieve his goal. And finally his determination touch his brother Salim who finally gave in and help Latika to escape so that she can be with Jamal. By helping Latika, Salim sacrifice his life and kill the mafia boss who is holding Latika.
Salim , the person who will grab hold to any opportunity he can get, no matter good or bad... he is street smart and willing to resort to cruel methods in order to survive. However, the help and aids he provided for his brother, Jamal shows that he is not all bad in nature but he did it for the sake of survival.
Latika,a gorgeous gal who Jamal fall in love with since young. Can't really survive on her own. Jamal keep helping her throughout the movie. And she worries alot bout her own safety and survival in the beginning... it was only until the end that she decides to elope with Jamal.

I haven't been taking cabs for ages... today is one of the few rare days that I took cab home.
Once abroad the cab, the friendly taxi uncle starts to chit chat with me... hmm ... not too bad... Feels good to be taxi home and have some friendly ppl to chitchat with.
He mentioned he used to be doing sales selling ads space, but due to old age, he was asked to leave the company. Think he is like 38 years old only and hold a district manager post. He has been in that company for 10 years and had spent some of his most precious time for the growth of this company. Nevertheless he was retrenched with one month salary. His boss reasoning were sales requires young, hot chicks and not tired old man. This makes one ponder, is it really worth it to be loyal to a company, to waste their life away fighting for someone else pockets.
At this point of time, he started mentioning the importance of having skills and so on, saying that his sales skill is pretty useless, can't make a living now, no coy will hire a old sales guy in their company. Then he asks me what I do for a living. So I told him software engineer... immediately he ask me bout IT stuff and hope I can help him.
His son was angry with him cause his son thought he had set password on the PC. But the taxi uncle is a computer illiterate, there's no way he knows how to set it up.
I told him its good mah, then he has more time to study especially the exam is around the corner. Well, he say that’s true, but now his son refused to talk to him and stay out whole day, coming home only at night. He worry he might meet some bad company at the cyber cafe. Plus, he was afraid being branded as the “BAD” dad!
Sensing his worries and anxieties and since I am a super helpful, kind-hearted,caring,courteous,friendly, polite,spiritual and full of righteous kind of person, I decided to offer him some advice. I even gave him some software and try to teach him to use it, but after sometime, I think its better to give him my number so he can call me back in case he has difficulties using it.
So after completing this wondrous deed, he wanted to give me a discount on the taxi fare out of gratitude, and of coz I kindly decline since I am not doing it for money, (I can claim back from company... LOL) and sincerely hope he can gain back his son’s trust. And it feels good to know my technical skill can actually helps others, even family bonding... that is something quite unexpected, since most of the time, my com skill is use for school related helps.
So I guess having a skill is really essential in this era... Can earn myself a living and help others. And in fact, I think that taxi uncle is not without any skill... his sales skill aided him in approaching me for help, imagine if he don't have a good communication skill, he wouldn't have ask me and if he didn't ask me nicely which is an essential characteristic of a sales personnel, I wouldn't have help him.

Nop, I am not trying to sing the song do re mi.... but this is what I can do in my car every morning when driving to work...
I can take my time to toast the bread, smear butter and jam, standing by the boiling water, so I can make myself a cup of Lipton tea, while checking out the cars in the filter lane just slightly ahead of me joining our little JAM party.
Yes JAM... JAM and more JAM... a 20 mins journey turns out to be an hour drive... Its longer than driving from cck to changi airport.
2 days ago was one of the worse Jam.... The jam started even before I left the carpark... I dunno is this coincident or Truman show in real life; everyone seems to leave home for work simultaneously today. I know because I have to queue just to get out of the multi-story carpark.
As my house is just beside KJE, immediately I turn into another super long queue known to modern people as JAM... Usually there's lots of car, but not enough to constitute a jam.... oh well... Anyway it didn't take me long before I realise a van broke down in the middle of the expressway. Hey man, you know u r a van and u noe its a old van... so please keep to the left side and die there, dun jam it up at the middle of nowhere.
Immediately I started rerouting... knowing there's a less travelled road old choachukang road which can lead me to PIE. Happily, I got off the expressway and drove towards the single lane road, with a L-plate car that just knock down a motorcyclist waiting for me.... well done... ok lucky he's a L-plate... can't drive fast... so that guy suffered minor cuts and bruises... However I think it will be a good time that the instructor taught his student to turn on the hazard lights so that everyone from behind know he is not going to move anymore!
Ok 1 broke down vehicle and 1 traffic accidents in a single trip.... not common but not unheard of... so when I was counting that no more traffic incident will happen... the filter lane that I am suppose to exit have another broke down vehicle.... don't anyone in Singapore take care of their cars?? Do they even heard of maintenance?? Ok, in a supposedly 20 mins drive to work turns out to be one of my longest trip... a record of 1 hr and 20 mins... due to 3 traffic incidents... well if its accident... I guess sometimes its really hard to avoid... but broke down vehicles......... oh man... the driving school should emphasize more on car maintenance as well..

Ok, the best mass display in the world. This is my personal opinion of what is the best display in the world. Not something people voted for or some awards proclaiming them the best in the world.
My reasons for voting them world best Well currently the world will be saying that the Beijing Olympic mass display is spectacular, thousand of performer able to synchronise their movement, their amazing lighting's effect and props, especially the scroll and the floating Olympic logo.
But wait till they see the performance by north Korea... they do not have so many amazing props or effect... however their performers especially the gymnastic performers can performed difficult to execute movement in sync!!! They can lift their leg in exact height, do somersault in exact timing and swing their props with precise angle! Its like watching computer graphic effect, with all the people clone... doing the same thing... I guess their only difference is their looks in the whole performance...
heres one of the video I found on youtube. I can't find a better version which I chance upon many years back, its in a video tape format which I think is long gone.
One has to ask oneself, how did they manage to do so well... I guess this is the power of brainwashing and fear instill into them... since by not doing well in the performance might mean something really nasty to them! Their livelihood might just depends on this one performance... So in order to survive, they will have to do it well... and I mean really well....
Its actually kind of sad for me admit that the best mass display in this world is performed by a country with some wacko leader... Where everyday they are being oppress and live in fear... whatever they can do and cannot do is determine by their "Great Leader" So I do wonder how true their passion are in this mass display... Lets just hope one day their life will change and they will performed not to survive, not to please their physco leader, but because they enjoyed it.

Design of PP 2009 for Ngee Ann Dance Group. The inital idea is to create a shooting stars with dancers dancing under the Stars.
Sadly, the shooting stars turn out to look more like a beam of light with ppl dancing under it... Lol... not realli the effect I am looking for. Oh well thats wat u get for rushing the work.
The reasons for the shooting stars and the Nebula...
As you might have known,the stars that we see every night, are merely lights reflected from the far distance planets or objects that is many light years away. In other words, they are so far that even at light speed they need to spend years to reach earth. So the light or star we see in the sky are reflected many years ago... some thousands of years and some up to millions of years ago.
All the star lights that dazzle u every night are actually lights from the past... in a way, it's a time machine that shows u images many many years ago. Therefore the perfect representation of our dance performance which is to celebrate its 30th Anniversary, looking back at what Ngee Ann Dance Group have done for the past 30 years.
And the shooting star is to represent the dancers' short-lived glorious moments on the stage that last merely for a few minutes compared to their years of training. However, I do believe in every dancer's heart, few minutes of glorious and cheers from the audience would have make up for all the hardship and pain they have to endure during their training.

Went to watch SDTperf, Continuum, at esplanade last Sat. Nice... three Choreographers, three different style... dancers from different parts of the world... each displaying their uniqueness, showing off their passions in their dances.
I particularly enjoyed the last dance piece,Glow-Stop, during the perf . Choreograph by JormaElo. Even though there are some gitches, music stop playing after 10sec... the dancers are able to react appropriatelly. Most of us didnt even realise the music have technical issue, till they drop the curtain. After a couple of mins, they restarted the dance... and I dun see any complaint from the audiences. Nice job and nice audiences :) glad to be in this crowd... I guess ppl will start "boo-ing" already if its some place else.
The dance is around 16 mins, if he uses the full length of the music which is ard 16mins... its a pretty fast pace comtemporary dance... I guess thats why I like it, fast pace, steps I never seen b4 (refreshing)... very smooth flow... even though dancers are moving in and out of the stage, u dun feel distracted. Individual techniques are of coz pro... they are pro afterall... lol... The costume uses very bold colour,RED, match with dim dark background and a strong light beam shining down from the corner... just like lights from the other side of the cave type of feel.
I tot the dancers will wear something darker to match the setting, however using red created an interesting combination... really brings out the dancers. I especially likes the lightnings and the choice of music ... their dance steps harmonize with the music beat for beat, rhythm for rhythm. Producing a very smooth and beautiful transition in between scenes, and I can feel the chemistry among dancers, their tight collaboration and precision carried out to pave way for the next movement by other dancers.
All in all, the dancers created an intimate bond with the audiences leaving them breathless and in awe.
Why this particular music out of so many dance pieces is posted here... Ans: Coz I like it...
